Show Jumping - Kerins Third In Dublin Sports Council Classic

(31 Dec 2012)

US - BASED Darragh Kerins made a rare trip to Ireland to take third place in today's (Wednesday) big jump-off class at the Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show.

Riding the nine year-old chestnut gelding 'Night Train' for only his second year, the 33 year-old Irish rider was just over a second slower than Swiss winner Markus Fuchs in the 1m50 Sports Council Classic.

Twelve combinations made it through to the jump-off, with Neal Fearon the only other rider flying the Irish flag, and finishing sixth with Michael Quirke's Irish-bred mare 'Teulada'.
