AFTER Saturday's 6/7 year old Grand Final, the 5 year old Grand Final in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2010 took place at Tattersalls Ward Union International Show today (Sunday), with the Cruising gelding 'Interpreter' winning the league.
Twenty-four horse and rider combinations competed in today’s Grand Final, with 15 combinations jumping clear in the first round to go through to the jump off.
Winning the class was John McGuinness and Pamela Donaghy’s Tabby (ISH). Peter Smyth, who enjoyed success yesterday when he won both the 6/7 year old Grand Final as well as the League, took second place with Cruising Lux (ISH).
James Hogg and Interpreter (ISH), were unfortunate enough to have two fences down in the jump off, but their clear in the first round gained them enough points to win top spot in the 5 year old League.
