TWO very exciting educational events with the theme ‘Steps to Successful Breeding’ are planned for the 18th and the 24th of February at Doyle’s Equestrian Centre, Rathvilly, Carlow and Ravensdale Eqestrain Centre, Dundalk, Co. Louth respectively. These evenings from 7pm are hosted by Teagasc in association with the Army Equitation School.

The Teagasc equine team will address the area of adding value to your produce. Advice will be offered and demonstrations provided on young horse production techniques. Breeder, ex-rider and trainer John Watson and his son Sam will demonstrate and discuss their passion for breeding and producing eventers and the principles by which they operate and are successful with. The Army Equitation School will, demonstrate the requirements of the sport of show jumping at international level and discuss the challenges facing breeders in producing for the sport.

All are welcome and admission is €10 on the night.
