PARA DRESSAGE - IRISH RIDERS STAY IN THE RIBBONS AT BREDA

IRELAND'S para dressage riders stayed consistently in the ribbons during the weekend show at Breda in the Netherlands, featuring in almost every class.

In the Grade 1a Kur today (Sunday) Helen Kearney and Mister Cool took third place, while Geraldine Savage and Blue Tip Top finished in fourth.

Today's Grade IV Kur also saw two Irish riders in the top five, with Rosemary Gaffney and Aldham Mill Dubloon placing fourth and Angela Lyons and Latino J in fifth, while Eilish Byrne and Youri claimed the runner-up spot in the Grade II Kur.

In Saturday's Grade Iv Individual class Rosemary Gaffney and Aldham Mill Dubloon took eighth, with Angela Lyons and Latino J in ninth, while Eilish Byrne and Youri again took a second place, this time in the Grade II Individual test.

Another second place was claimed by Breda Bernie and Ukina van Beekdal in the Grade 1b Individual Test, while in the Grade 1a Individual Test Helen Kearney and Mister Cool placed fourth, with Geraldine Savage and Blue Tip Top in fifth.

Thursday's Grade IV Team test saw Rosemary Gaffney and Aldham Mill Dubloon place third, while the Grade II Team test had Eilish Byrne and Youri once again in second place, with Kate Horan and Terence Hill in eighth.

Ireland's only outright win came from Breda Bernie and Ukina van Beekdal in Thursday's Grade 1b Team test, while in the Grade 1a Team test Helen Kearney and Mister Cool were in fourth and Geraldine Savage and Blue Tip Top in fifth.
