KILDARE-born Aoife Clark took third place for Ireland in today's (Sunday) three-star event at Belton Park in England, the traditional warm-up show for Badminton.
Riding the Irish-bred Master Imp gelding 'Master Crusoe', Clark finished on 44.7 penalties, just two points off the British winner Oliver Townend, who also rode an Irish-bred horse, the Cruising gelding 'Ashdale Cruise Master'.
Clark also took 12th place in the 77-strong field today with 'Vaguely North', while Ireland's next-highest placing was Joseph Murphy, finishing in 20th on yet another Cruising offspring, the chestnut gelding 'Electric Cruise'.
