ARMAGH rider Jayne Doherty took home the winner's trophies from both the three and two-star events at Ballindenisk, Co. Cork this evening (Sunday).
The 36 year-old had a decisive victory in the three-star section with the Irish-bred 'The Only One', a comfortable 16.5 points ahead of Army challenger Capt Brian Curran Cournane, with another Irish-bred, 'Dunran Castle'.
In the two-star, Doherty rode the thoroughbred 'Ravenstar' into first place, the only horse finishing in the top three of any of the sections at Ballindenisk that was not an Irish Sport Horse. Second in the two-star was Steven Smith with 'Whoa Nelly'.
Fergal Nesbitt took first in Section One of the one-star event with 'Flora Belle', while Section Two went to Trevor Smith with 'Rose of Delvin'.
