HORSE Sport Ireland has announced the Eventing Young Rider Team who will represent Ireland at the European Championships at Pardubice, Czech Republic, from the 31st July to 1st August.

The team in alphabetical order is:

Peter Hannigan; First Mate (ISH)
Brian Morrison; Jail Breaker
Rachael Power; TLB Interactive (ISH)
Fred Scala; Hedonist (ISH)

Team Ireland Equestrian's Young Rider Eventing High Performance Manager Comdt. Brian MacSweeney said: "We have lost some strong combinations due to injury and Camilla Speirs's promotion to the senior squad. We had some solid performances at Tattersalls and the riders that have been selected have made great progress this year and if that continues we could be in the shake up at the Championships.

"Either way competing at the Championships will stand to these riders in their future careers.”
