High Performance Manager for the Young Rider squad Comdt. Brian MacSweeney said that no decision had yet been made on whether Ireland would send a team to this year's Young Rider Championships, which will take place in Pardubice in the Czech Republic from 30th of July to the 1st of August 2010.

“Pardubice is a long distance away and with next year's championships in Blair Castle an alternative option would be to use our resources to prepare for 2011. We will make a decision after Tattersalls at the end of May," he said.

In the interim a number of training days are being organised, with the first one taking place in Coilog, Co. Kildare next week with Michael Quirke acting as show jumping trainer and Heike Holstein as dressage trainer.
