GOING for Gold was established to help keep promising event horses with Irish riders with a view to them developing into future team horses.
Presently the syndicate has shareholdings in two horses, 'GFG Rambo Man' with Sam Watson and 'GFG Hollybrook Sky High' with Louise Bloomer. Both combinations competed in the two star competitions at Tattersalls where they continued on their upward curve.
Speaking at Tattersalls Ginny expressed her support for the initiative and encouraged more people to get involved.
“Ireland have the best event horses in the world and a really up and coming pool of riders. If we could keep the better horses with these riders we have a real chance of success at the very highest level. Shareholders can also enjoy seeing their horse compete in top class international competition and possibly contribute directly to Ireland winning medals,” she said.
