Weekend's European Eventing Championships Now Under Way At Fontainebleau

(24 Sep 2009)

Meanwhile in Lanaken, Belgium, Irish breeders will also be watching with huge interest as the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses gets under way. Ireland will field no fewer than 18 combinations across the Five, Six and Seven Year Old championship classes as well as one in the Sires of The World class.

In senior show jumping, the Irish quartet of Niall Talbot, Alex Duffy, Shane Breen and Nicola FitzGibbon head down to Athens in Greece for the two-star show there, a venue which will also see the last Nations' Cup competition of the season in the three-star show that follows next weekend, and in which the Irish will compete as a team.
