THIRTY-six year-old Mark Kyle this evening (Sunday) won the two-star event at Scone Palace in Scotland on the grey Irish-bred gelding 'Coolio', just under four penalties ahead of British runner-up Matthew Wright and 'Caunton Welldone'.
Seventh place in the competition went to another Irish raider, Clare Abbott and the Irish-bred grey gelding 'The Dalai Lama'.
Kyle, who is Wicklow-born, won the Indoor Cross Country competition at the British Open Show Jumping Championships in Birmingham earlier this month, with 'Drunken Disorderly'.
