The following five riders make up the squad which will represent Ireland in Pardubice at the Young Rider European Three Day Event Championships from 30th July - 01 Aug 2010

Fred Scala; Hedonist
All these combinations have produced very worth while performances during the year so far and have earned the right to represent their country.
Rachel Power competed very well in the early competitions including the CCI** at Barroca d’Alva (POR) in March and the CIC** at Ballindenisk in April. Since then she has completed her exams and has competed successfully at National events throughout the country.
Fred Scala, Tim Dennehy and Brian Morrison had an excellent result at the Tattersalls International Event in May where in the CCI U/25** they finished 1st , 2nd & 3rd respectively in a very keenly contested competition which included a number of highly thought of British Young Riders
Peter Hannigan who was a member of last years team along with Brian Morrison had a very good result at the recent CIC ** at Longleat in Britain.
Riders have received training this year as part of the Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Training Programme with Heike Holstein, Ian Fearon & Michael Quirke.
Horses are departing this Thursday/ Friday and hope to travel for three days across Europe arriving at the Czech Republic on Sunday Night /Monday morning.
Chef d’Equipe, Comdt. Brian MacSweeney, Team Vet, William Lalor and the riders travel out on Monday morning. Dressage coach Heike Holstein & Show Jumping coach Michael Quirke will also travel out next week. The first horse inspection is on Wed 28th July with two days of dressage Thurs 29th and Fri 30th followed by cross country on Sat 31st with the final phase of show jumping on Sun 1st Aug.
