THE shortlist of nominees for this year’s Lancelot Awards has been announced following a recent meeting of the AIRC Executive Committee.
There are four categories of awards on offer including the club of the year, club secretary of the year, club member of the year and also the person of the year award.
These awards recognise the efforts of members who go beyond the call of duty in organising or helping at club, regional or national level.
In a change from previous years, the voting process will allow a jury decide 50% of the vote while the remaining 50% will be determined by the 130 registered clubs of the Assocation.
Each club will be issued with a voting paper in December and is asked to list 1 to 4 in each category in order of the clubs preference as each vote will count. The official voting papers must be returned to Head Office to arrive no later than Thursday 12th January 2012.
The fifth annual awards will be presented at the Association’s Annual General Meeting early next year.
