(29 Nov 2010)

THE Association of Irish Riding Establishments (AIRE) is the Horse Sport Ireland affiliate responsible for the approval of Riding establishments. Establishments have to undergo an inspection before being approved.

AIRE has welcomed Breda O’Brien of Rockafoyle Stables, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny and Donna Coady of Donna’s Livery Stables, Dungarvan, Co Waterford as new Approved Centres in the past few weeks.

Best wishes to the below named centres who gained their status earlier in the year:-

Ballyteague Stables, Kilmeague, Naas, Co Kildare
Kinsale Equestrian Centre, Cappagh, Kinsale, Co Cork
Loughrea Equestrian Centre, Kilnadeema, Co Galway
Penny Jagdhuber, Ballinameen, Nr Boyle, Co Roscommon
Schull Equestrian Centre, Derryleary, Schull, Co Cork.

Congratulations to Balculty Stables, Swords Co Dublin on becoming a FAS TEACHING SCHOOL. Balcultry is run by Caitriona Moons Walsh who has recently been successful in gaining part of her Stage 4 Exam. A.I.R.E. (Association of Irish Riding Establishments) would like to wish all of the above Centres well for the future.

Horse Sport Ireland encourages people who want to start riding or get riding lessons to only use an AIRE approved establishment. For a full list of approved centres CLICK HERE
