H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II VISITS THE IRISH NATIONAL STUD

The Army Equitation School provided a welcoming guard of honour for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to the Irish National Stud on Thursday. Pictured is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with Lady Chryss O' Reilly, Chairperson of the Irish National Stud. Captain Geoff Curran is riding Kilmichael (ISH).

Kilmichael (ISH) is by the stallion Cruising (ISH) and out of the mare Dunahall Diamond (RID), by Diamond Rock (ID C1). He was bred by David O’Brennan from Tullamore, Co. Offaly and is owned by the Minister for Defence. Kilmichael (ISH) is a full brother to Interpreter (ISH) who, with James Hogg, represented the Irish Sport Horse Studbook at the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses 2010 in Lanaken, Belgium. Interpreter (ISH) and James Hogg finished in eight place in the 5 Year Old World Championship Final.
