THE International Affairs Committee of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs (AIRC) has announced the team which will represent the Association at the British Riding Clubs (BRC) Championships next month.
Greenhills Riding Club will make a return visit to the Lincolnshire Show grounds on 11th September where they will compete against the best of the riding clubs in Britain in the NAF Senior Open Championship.
The Kildare based club has previously represented the Association on a number of occasions, in 2006 and again in 2009. Last year they achieved a top ten finish but will be hoping to improve on their third placing in 2006.
The team includes Grainne Alexander (Orman), Sean Rooney (Navarone), Roland Dalton (Benny Hill) and Kate Solon (Santero).
Greenhills was selected to represent the Association as the winning team of the International Challenge at the Riding Clubs Festival in June.
A.I.R.C. chairman Tony Ennis said: “We have a very good team from Greenhills who have a proven track record at international level. They’ve prepared very well for the British Championships and we wish them the best of luck in the coming weeks.”
