SWISS watchmaker Longines has been announced as title sponsor for Ravensdale Lodge’s National Grand Prix on Sunday 29th of May.
Longines has an 80-year heritage of being involved with equestrian sports through its role as official sponsor and timekeeper at prestigious show jumping events throughout the world.
Longines are official timekeepers and sponsors of many of the five star CSIO International Grands Prix including Hickstead, Barcelona and Dublin.
More recently, Longines have also become active in other aspects of equestrian sport and the watchmaker has been the official timekeeper of Royal Ascot since 2007, the official watch of the Melbourne Cup for the past seven years and official timekeeper of the 2011 Dubai World Cup.
As part of the TRM National Grand Prix League, Ravensdale Lodge play host to their weekend show on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th May. Sunday 29th will see the Longines main arena stage three events, the Longines Conquest Amateur Grand Prix class, the 1.30m Longines Dolce Vita class and the main event of the weekend; the Longines sponsored National Grand Prix.
On top of the prize fund on offer in the Grand Prix the winning combination will receive a Longines watch, trophy and rug, placed riders will also receive a Longines trophy and vouchers from Weir & Sons Jewellers in Dublin.
All other competitions in the Longines arena on Sunday will be in line for a share of €1000 worth of Weir & Sons Jewellers Dublin vouchers as well as Longines trophies and rugs on top of competition prize fund.
