MAIN JUMPING ACTION SWITCHES TO PARIS FOR WEEKEND

SHOW jumping action switches to Paris, France this weekend, where the five-star Gucci Masters sees three days of competition beginning on Friday, and culminating in the 300,000 euro Gucci Masters Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon.

The Irish flag will be flown by the top ranking trio of Jessica Kurten, Denis Lynch and Billy Twomey, who will line out with a total of eight horses between them.

Paris also runs concurrently a two-star show, and Ireland's sole entrant there will be Derry-born Trevor Coyle, who campaigns with two horses.

Salzburg in Austria sees both four star jumping and four star dressage. Mayo's Cameron Hanley and Down's Dermott Lennon compete in the jumping show, while Anna Merveldt and 'Coryolano' represents Ireland in dressage.

Irish pony and junior riders continue their European campaign at Hengelo in the Netherlands starting today (Thursday), following a successful outing in Belgium last weekend.
