MAJOR INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY SEMINAR BEING HELD IN MULLINGAR

THE international governing body for equestrian sport, the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) is holding a veterinary seminar in Mullingar today (Thursday) and tomorrow, in conjunction with Horse Sport Ireland.

The seminar is for FEI competition veterinarians to update them on the FEI veterinary regulations, including the new medication and anti doping programme under the FEI Clean Sport initiative.

The seminar is being presided over by John McEwan, who is the FEI first vice president and chair of the FEI veterinary committee, together with the FEI veterinary director Dr. Graeme Cooke, and is being chaired by the FEI National Head Vet in Ireland, Dermot Forde.

The seminar takes place in conjunction with Mullingar international show and is being attended by delegates from 12 different countries.
