Olympic Saddlery sponsors of:

Horse Sport Ireland will support the Connacht Grand Prix League with a prize fund of €3,000 to the overall winner under the following criteria:

• Horses must be registered in the Irish Horse Register with the breed codes ISH or ID, and be by a stallion that is classified as 'Approved', 'Supplementary Approved' or 'Preliminary Approved' in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook or a stallion that is classified as 'Class 1/RID' in the Irish Draught Horse Studbook. Horses must also have their dam documented on their passport.
• The horse must be the overall winner of the Connacht Region Grand Prix League.
• The Breeding Prize will be divided between the owner and the breeder of the horse, with €2,500 going to the owner and €500 to the breeder.

Gain Horse Feeds/Brooklands Bedding sponsors of:

• The winner of each Grand Prix will receive 10 bags of Gain Horse Feed
• The owner of the winning horse of the League will receive 50 bags of Gain Horse Feed

Cavalor Horse Feeds & Supplements sponsors of:

• Prizes to the leading Junior/Young Rider each day
• Prizes to the overall leading Junior/Young Rider of the League (details in June bulletin)

Rules:

• Points will be awarded as follows:1st = 10 points, 2nd = 8 points, 3rd = 7 points, 4th = 6 points, 5th = 5 points, 6th = 4 points, 7th = 3 points, 8th = 2 points, 9th = 1 point, 10th = 1 point
• Course will be 1.30m (S)
• Declarations to Mr Tom Dixon on 087-2962299, not later than 2.00pm on Thursday prior to each show. Late entries may be accepted with €10 fee and will go at the start of the drawn order.
• Officials: Each show must have a Senior National Course Designer, Senior National Judge and an experienced starter.
• Appeals: There will be an appeals committee comprising of the Senior Judge, the Chairman of the Connacht Region and the Chairman of the Connacht League Committee.
• Start time: The Connacht League Grand Prix should start no later than 2.30pm.
• The overall winner will be the horse/rider combination gaining the most points throughout the League.
• Any horse gaining points with more than one rider will score separately with each rider.
• Any rider gaining points with more than one horse will score separatley as each horse/rider combination.
• In the event of a tie for first place, the horse/rider placed highest in the final Grand Prix will be the winner.

A Fund Raising Draw will take place on Friday 20th May at 8.00pm in the Olympic Saddlery Store, Briarhill Business Park, Galway at the launch of the Connacht Grand Prix League.
