THE Reining and Western Section of Horse Sport Ireland are holding a demonstration weekend with Bruce Lawrence in Mullingar Equestrian Centre on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th July. Bruce Lawrence is a WES Level 4 instructor and is one of the UK's leading western trainers, riders and competitors.The weekend kicks off on Saturday the 2nd at 7pm when there will be demonstrations on Western Trail, Western Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing and Reining. On Sunday Bruce will be giving lessons which are available for both members and non members of the section. Places are limited so lessons must be booked in advance. There will be a small show after the lessons. The lessons are €15 for members and €25 for non members. Starting at 10am, Monday is geared towards centre owners who wish to set up or expand an existing enterprise and diversify into Western riding.
