THE WORLD Cup Qualifier at Gothenburg in Sweden will be the highlight of a very busy weekend for members of Team Ireland Equestrian, with participation in a total of seven shows across the world.
Jessica Kurten, Billy Twomey and Dermott Lennon are the show jumpers in action at the five-star Swedish venue, where the main World Cup competition takes place on Sunday afternoon, with the Gothenburg Grand Prix scheduled for Saturday evening.
Three Irish riders will be at the Spanish Sunshine Tour at Vejer de la Frontera, but a total of ten line out in nearby Portugal for the two-star show at Comporta, and a similar number compete at Villeneuve-Loubet in France.
Eddie Macken and Jennifer Crooks represent Ireland at Thermal in California, while on the opposite US coast, Darragh Kenny, Shane Sweetnam and Kevin Babington fly the flag in Wellington, Florida.
The Eventing season kicks off at Vale Sabroso in Portugal today (Thursday), with Rachel Power taking part in the two-star, and Carol Gee, Felicity Ward and Shane Power competing at one-star level.
