THREE Irish-bred horses finished in the top 20 at at the Rolex four-star event at Kentucky after the final show jumping phase last night (Sunday).

The leading Irish bred horse was Andrew Cawthray's ODT Sonas Rovatio (ISH) ridden by Britain's Ollie Townend, who placed sixth, while full Irish draught Tipperary Liadhnan (ISH) finished in 16th, ridden by the USA’s Kim Steverson.

The Kentucky event, which was won by Britain’s Mary King with ‘King’s Temptress’, also saw the Antrim-bred ‘Fernhill Eagle (ISH)’, ridden by the USA’s Philip Dutton, complete the competition in 18th place.
