THE first leg of the Future Event Horse League (FEHL) in association with Horse Sport Ireland, took place on Wednesday (June 8th 2011) at Chris and Sue Ryans’ Scarteen House, Knocklong Co. Limerick.

Entries were strong as 4 and 5 year old young horses undertook a ridden display test, jumped a derby style course of fences in an enclosed arena and were assessed for suitability as a potential event horse.

The next five consecutive Wednesdays will see the remaining qualifiers take place at venues throughout the country with the final taking place at Lamberstown, Co. Meath on July 20th.
