Limited Places on Upcoming HSI Coaching Programme Courses and Workshops

There are a limited number of places remaining on the following Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) Coaching Programme courses and workshops over the next few weeks. Horse Sport Ireland offer equestrian coaching courses accredited by Coaching Ireland. HSI Coaching courses are competition based coaching qualifications, using modern techniques to improve both horses and riders performance and are led by professional equestrian tutors.

 HSI Cross Country / Eventing Workshop

Date: Tuesday 5th May 2015
Venue: Grange Farm, Drumlargan, Kilcock, Co. Meath
Cost: €80
About: This course is aimed to provide coaches with all of the basic skills and techniques to coach cross country at novice level.
This course is:

  • A requirement for all Level 1 Apprentice coaches who wish to avail of the HSI Coach Insurance policy
  • A requirement for all coaches who wish to commence the HSI Level 2 Coach course
  • Available to all those who wish to acquire CPD credits and / or refresh their coaching skills

 

HSI Level 1 Apprentice Coach Course

Dates: Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th May 2015 (first two days)
Venue: Gurteen College, Ballingarry, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary
Cost: €400
About: The aim of the HSI Apprentice Coach qualification is to provide participants with the skills and techniques to work competently as an apprentice coach at novice level. This is a four day course split into two parts.
Entry Requirements:Participants should be over 18 years of age and have completed one of the following:

  • HSI Introduction to Coaching
  • British Horse Society Assistant Instructor (BHSAI)
  • Irish Pony Club B Test

 

HSI Introduction to Coaching Course

Date: Tuesday 26th May 2015
Venue: Portmore Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, Co. Armagh
Cost: €80
About: The HSI Introduction to Coaching course is the initial step on the coaching ladder. It provides parents, coaches and young horse producers with the basic skills and techniques to coach at training level. The course provides you with the basic principles of coaching, better understanding of modern competition requirements, and a detailed understanding of the HSI Coaching Programme and of the work involved to become a qualified equestrian coach.
