REMINDER – NORTHERN MEETING FOR THE IRISH SPORT HORSE INDUSTRY STRATEGY

HORSE Sport Ireland, Teagasc and the RDS are devising a strategy for the Sport Horse sector in Ireland.

To aid the development of this strategy the Irish Sport Horse Industry Strategy Committee in conjunction with the Equine Council of Northern Ireland (ECNI) plan to hold a further public consultation meeting for the industry.

The strategy will outline the key actions needed

(a) to ensure that the sector contributes to the maximum possible extent to our export-led economic recovery and
(b) to increase the income of horse breeders, producers and the wider supply chain.

The objective of the meeting is to bring those involved at various levels of the industry together to provide suggestions with regard to dealing with the challenges facing the industry.

The venue and date for the meeting is as follows:

•Thursday June 12^th, 2014 in CAFRE Enniskillen Campus

The meeting is open to all those involved in the sector, north and south of the border, and will commence at 7.30pm sharp.
