THE Irish team of Tori Dixon, Katie Moffatt, Lucca Stubington, and Angela Dennehy narrowly missed out on European Junior Eventing medals when finishing fourth at the championships in Vale Sabroso, Portugal today (Sunday).

IRELAND'S Mark Kyle was best of the Irish at CCI4* Burghley, finishing in 24th place after a clear show jumping round. Overnight sixth-placed Liz Power withdrew Kilpatrick River before the final phase and did not present the horse at trot up today.

IRELAND'S two top placed riders at last week's European Eventing Championships, Joseph Murphy and Mark Kyle, have now broken into the worlds top 50 in the HSBC rankings.

HORSE Sport Ireland has confirmed the six combinations that will represent Ireland at the 2011 European Junior (U18) Eventing Championships in Vale Sabroso, Portugal from September 7th to 11th.

THE Irish team today (Saturday) moved up from overnight eighth to fifth place after the cross-country phase of the European Eventing Championships at Luhmuhlen in Germany, putting Ireland one place away from Olympic qualification.
