SPEIRS FINISHES SECOND IN BRAMHAM'S UNDER 25s

KILDARE'S Camilla Speirs saw victory slip from her grasp in the last phase of the prestigious CCI3* Under-25 class at Bramham in England this morning (Sunday) when she battled it out with eventual British winner Helen Dunning.

DESPITE incurring two time faults in the final show jumping phase of Tattersalls three-star event at Co. Meath today (Sunday) British Olympic medallist William Fox-Pitt held onto his lead with 'Oslo' to take the trophy, but Armagh's Jayne Doherty went clear and maintained her overnight position to finish best of the Irish in fourth place.

TATTERSALLS Ireland yesterday (Monday) launched the Tattersalls International Horse Trials & Country Fair, in association with Horse Sport Ireland, which takes place from 26th to 29th May 2011 at Ratoath in Co Meath.

HRH PRINCESS Haya of Jordan, the President of the FEI, is planning to attend Tattersalls International Horse Trials in association with Horse Sport Ireland, which takes place from May 26-29 in Co. Meath. HRH Princess Haya confirmed her plans to Horse Sport Ireland Chairman Joe Walsh in Lausanne after today's (Friday) Extraordinary General Assembly of the FEI.

ENTRIES were announced today (Thursday) for the Tattersalls International Horse Trials in association with Horse Sport Ireland taking place May 26-29 2011 at the Tattersalls Ireland complex in Co Meath. At close of entries some 290 horses and riders are now competing in this event.

ARMY rider Capt. Geoff Curran was triumphant in today's (Sunday) three-star international event at Ballindenisk, Co. Cork, carrying off the winner's trophy with the Irish-bred Cavalier Royale gelding 'The Jump Jet', owned by the Minister for Defence and Maurice Cassidy.

TEAM MANAGERS APPOINTED FOR JUNIOR AND YOUNG RIDER SQUADS
HORSE Sport Ireland has announced the Team Managers for the Junior and Young rider eventing squads. Sally Corscadden will be the Team Manager and Chef d’Equipe for the young rider squad (U21) while Debbie Byrne will be Chef d’Equipe for the Junior rider squad (U18) with Jane O'Flynn as head coach.

FIRST-TIMER MURPHY FINISHES BEST OF IRISH AT BADMINTON

MULLINGAR-born Joseph Murphy, making his Badminton debut, finished best of the Irish in 27th place after going clear in this afternoon's (Monday) show jumping phase at the four-star event.
