TWENTY YEAR-OLD SPEIRS BEST OF IRISH AFTER BADMINTON DRESSAGE

TWENTY year-old first-timer Camilla Speirs with the Irish-bred 'Portersize Just A Jiff' was best of the Irish at Badminton's Three Day Event after the dressage phase completed this evening (Saturday) in Gloucestershire, England.

IT has now been confirmed that no fewer than nine Irish riders will line up for this week's Badminton International Horse Trials from a field of 85 starters. Twenty year-old Camilla Speirs from Kildare who makes her debut at Badminton will be one of the youngest riders competing, with her horse 'Portersize Just a Jiff'.

LAUNCH OF FESTIVAL WEEKEND AT TATTERSALLS

TATTERSALLS Ireland and Horse Sport Ireland today (Wednesday) launched the Tattersalls Festival which takes place 27-30 May 2010 at Ratoath in Co Meath. Top international horses and riders will be gathering in the Co Meath venue to take part in the Tattersalls International Horse Trials, incorporating the HSBC FEI World Cup Eventing™ Qualifier.

WIN FOR KYLE AT SCOTLAND'S SCONE PALACE

THIRTY-six year-old Mark Kyle this evening (Sunday) won the two-star event at Scone Palace in Scotland on the grey Irish-bred gelding 'Coolio', just under four penalties ahead of British runner-up Matthew Wright and 'Caunton Welldone'.

BOTH IRISH RIDERS IN TOP 50 AFTER DRESSAGE PHASE OF FOUR-STAR KENTUCKY

BOTH Irish riders competing at the landmark Rolex Kentucky four-star event tonight (Friday) finished in the top 50 after the dressage phase. Seventy-two of the world's top riders are competing in the HSBC Classic, one of only five at this rank in the world.

HORSE SPORT IRELAND AND GINNY ELLIOT AGREE CONTRACT UNTIL 2012

HORSE Sport Ireland has announced that it has agreed a contract with Eventing High Performance Coach Ginny Elliot up until the London Olympics in 2012. Agreements have also been secured with Dressage coach Ferdi Eilberg and Show Jumping coach Michael Quirke for the same period.

SPEIRS BEST OF IRISH WITH FOURTH FINISH AT BURNHAM MARKET

NINETEEN year-old Camilla Speirs from Kildare produced the best performance of the Irish contingent at Burnham Market in England today (Saturday) with a fourth-placed finish in the Q section of the three-star event with the Irish-bred 'Portersize Just a Jiff'.
