NATIONAL ANTI-DOPING RULES FOR ALL IRISH EQUESTRIAN DISCIPLINES INTRODUCED FOR FIRST TIME

NATIONAL anti-doping rules for all equestrian disciplines have been introduced in Ireland for the first time. The new rules were passed unanimously at a board meeting of Horse Sport Ireland today (Friday). The rules will come into effect in equestrian disciplines in Ireland from April 1st next.

THE Irish University Riding Clubs Association (IURCA) has been very busy of late having just sent a team to compete in the World Cup Finals in Great Britain (29th Dec - 1st Jan) where our team of Paddy McDonagh (UCD), Zoe McElligott (Smurfitt Business School) and Alex Donohoe (DCU) fought off strong competition to retain the show-jumping cup for the 3rd year in succession
