IRISH PARA EQUESTRIAN TEAM MAKES PARALYMPIC GAMES FOR FIRST TIME

IT HAS been confirmed today (Wednesday) by the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale) that the Irish Para Equestrian team have secured a team place for Ireland at the Paralympic Games for the first time.

CAPSTICK 31st IN 2011 FEI TOP DRIVER RANKINGS

IRELAND'S Barry Capstick has finished the year 31st overall in the FEI Horse Pairs Top Driver rankings. The rankings, which have just been published, also see Irish Horse Pair driver Annika Rohrssen appear in 103rd place. For full details click HERE

HSI REINING SHOW A BIG SUCCESS

THE HSI National Reining and Western show finished yesterday (Saturday) in Mullingar Equestrian Centre. There were three main prizes. The show was a huge success with over 30 different horse and rider combinations competing.

THE IPA Polocrosse Finals, held on the weekend of 3rd and 4th September 2011, were hosted by Horetown Polocrosse Club at Horetown Equestrian Centre in Foulksmills, Co. Wexford. Thirty teams took part across all grades in the Finals which were run in association with Horse Sport Ireland

THE Irish Endurance Team traveled to Builth Wells, Wales to try and regain the Home International and Celtic Challenge Trophies last weekend (1st to 2nd October) This year the Irish Team, lead by Chef d’Equipe Cora Roche, won the Celtic Challenge with the Home International Trophy going to the host nation, Wales with Ireland finishing 3rd.
