SPLAINE CONFIRMS JUMPING ORDER FOR GIJON NATIONS' CUP

TEAM Ireland Equestrian's Show Jumping Manager Robert Splaine has confirmed the jumping order for tomorrow's Nations' Cup clash at Gijon, Spain and the team for next week's Spruce Meadows event in Canada.

THE IRISH duo of Denis Lynch and Billy Twomey added to their prize money at the Global Champions' Tour Final at Rio de Janeiro this afternoon (Saturday) with top ten places in the Accumulator competition.

LYNCH NARROWLY BEATEN IN RIO GLOBAL CHAMPIONS' TOUR GRAND PRIX

IRELAND'S Denis Lynch held onto first place at Rio de Janeiro's Global Champions' Tour Grand Prix tonight (Saturday) until the closing moments of the competition when last man in, Germany's Marcus Ehning, shaved a quarter of a second off his time and took the 100,000 euro first prize.

LYNCH TAKES VICTORY IN NETHERLANDS JUMP-OFF

IN A torrential rainstorm at Valkenswaard in the Netherlands this evening (Sunday) Ireland's Denis Lynch added to his considerable weekend prize money with a win in the last competition of the five-star show, the Medium Tour Final.

A TOUGH Grand Prix track saw just four riders from a starting list of 49 make it through to the final jump-off in the Global Champions Tour at Valkenswaard in the Netherlands this afternoon (Saturday), with Ireland's Denis Lynch snatching second place on Thomas Straumann's bay gelding 'Lantinus'.

WITH a total of 200,000 euro on offer in prize money the competition was fierce for the top places in this afternoon's (Sunday) Longines Grand Prix, the final international class of the Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show, and two Irish riders, Billy Twomey and Denis Lynch, claimed a sizable share of the spoils with a third and sixth place, respectively.

IRELAND'S Aga Khan team finished equal second in the final Meydan Nations' Cup of 2010 at the Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show today (Friday) on a total of 20 faults. The result also cemented Ireland's place in the Meydan Superleague for 2011.

IRELAND'S Aga Khan team for Friday's Meydan Nations' Cup at the Dublin Horse Show has been announced tonight (Thursday) by Team Ireland Equestrian's show jumping manager Robert Splaine, while in today's Speed Derby Limerick-born Paul O'Shea saw off a strong international field to scoop the 7,000 euro first prize.
