LYNCH JUMPS TO SECOND IN WORLD CUP RANKINGS AFTER MECHELEN RESULT

DENIS Lynch moved up to second position in the Rolex FEI World Cup rankings this evening (Friday) after a fifth place finish in the World Cup competition at Mechelen, Belgium with Thomas Straumann's 11 year-old bay gelding Abbervail van Het Dingeshof.

DERMOTT LENNON WINS OLYMPIA GRAND PRIX

DERMOTT Lennon from County Down tonight (Monday) won the Olympia Grand Prix in London with Judith Sossick's Irish-bred mare Loughview Lou Lou. Lennon, a former world champion, beat 32 of the world's best riders to take the 24,000 euro first prize.

IRELAND'S Dermott Lennon claimed third place in a thrilling jump-off in the Rolex World Cup Qualifier competition at Olympia, England this evening (Sunday), recording just one of three double clear rounds from a starting field of 34.

BILLY Twomey took the International Rider of the Year Award at the 2011 Show Jumpers' Ball in Killashee House Hotel, Naas, tonight (Saturday) after a glittering year that saw him win numerous international Grands Prix, culminating in victory at the Rolex Top Ten competition in Paris earlier this month.

IN one of the more unusual World Cup competitions in the present series, Ireland's Denis Lynch claimed ninth place at the Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva, Switzerland this afternoon (Sunday), piloting Thomas Straumann's gelding Lantinus.
