IRELAND FINISH SECOND IN BELGIAN CHILDREN'S NATIONS' CUP
THE Irish Children On Horses show jumping team took the runner-up spot in today's (Sunday) Nations' Cup at Bonheiden in Belgium with a total of 14 faults on the score sheet, beating Belgium into third place by just one penalty point. An in-form British team, however, took the trophy with a total of just five faults over the two rounds.

THE IRISH team finished sixth of ten teams in today's (Friday) French Meydan Nations' Cup at La Baule. Despite a double clear round from Shane Breen and 'Carmena Z' and a clear first round from Cameron Hanley and 'Southwind VDL', the Irish team were unable to improve on their first round position of equal fifth.

THIRTY-two year-old Shane Carey took the Danish Grand Prix trophy for Ireland this afternoon (Sunday) when he brought the nine year-old bay gelding 'Lancero' across the line at Fredensborg a fifth of a second clear of Danish challenger Linnea Ericsson.
