IRISH pony riders kept up their sparkling form at the international show in Fontainebleau, France today (Saturday), with a win and a third place in the Derby competition, and a victory in the Seven Year-Old class. Following Friday's tally of three wins and a domination of the top ten places in many classes, it was 12 yr-old Tim McDonagh from Galway who today triumphed in the Derby with 'Diego Flow'.

AN IRISH pony team making their debut at Nations' Cup level this evening (Saturday) took Gold at Fontainebleau, beating Germany, France and Sweden into equal second place.

KENNY NOW JOINS LENNON IN SUNDAY'S WORLD CUP FINAL

OFFALY-born Darragh Kenny will now jump in Sunday's Rolex FEI World Cup Final third leg, due to the elimination of the USA's McLain Ward from the startlist. Kenny, who was first on the reserve list of riders, will jump fourth in the competition with 'Obelix', while Co. Down's Dermott Lennon will jump in 16th place with 'Hallmark Elite'.

COMDT John Ledingham, Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Coach for Children on Horses (U14), Juniors (U18) and young riders (U21), has named the initial High Performance squads in these age groups.
