TALBOT TAKES VICTORY IN VERONA JUMP-OFF

IRELAND had two riders in the top five at the finish of this afternoon's (Saturday) jump-off class in Verona, with Kildare-born Niall Talbot taking the trophy on Jean-Claude Engisch's chestnut gelding Nicos de la Cense.

IRELAND HAS TWO RIDERS IN ROLEX WORLD TOP TEN
IRELAND once more has two riders in the top ten of the Rolex show jumping world rankings list, which was published today (Thursday). Tipperary-born Denis Lynch moves up two places to number eight, while Cork's Billy Twomey also gains two places to enter the rankings at number nine.

O'REILLY-HYLAND WINS BELGIAN PONY GRAND PRIX

IN MOORSELE in Belgium Ireland's Max O'Reilly-Hyland had a successful weekend in the pony classes with Rock Dee Jay and Dooneens What About Me. He topped it off with a win in Sunday's Pony Grand Prix on Rock Dee Jay. In the Junior classes, Bertram Allen also scored several top ten places.

LYNCH TAKES SIXTH PLACE IN FRENCH WORLD CUP CLASS

TIPPERARY'S Denis Lynch was the only rider of the Irish trio competing in this afternoon's (Sunday) World Cup class at Lyon in France to make it through to the jump-off, but a single fence down left him in sixth place overall, with Sweden's Rolf-Göran Bengtsson claiming the 60,000 euro winner's prize on the bay stallion Casall La Silla.

LYNCH SECOND, TWOMEY THIRD IN FRENCH MASTERS

TIPPERARY'S Denis Lynch added another 20,000 euro to his burgeoning prize pot at the five-star show in Lyon France tonight (Saturday), when recording his third runner-up placing in 24 hours, this time in the elite Equita Masters competition.

TWOMEY TAKES SEVENTH IN HELSINKI WORLD CUP COMPETITION

AN Irish rider again finished in the top ten of the Rolex World Cup Series when Cork's Billy Twomey placed seventh today in the second leg at Helsinki in Finland, riding Tracey Forrest's chestnut stallion Romanov II.

O'CONNOR FIFTH AT FIVE-STAR HELSINKI

CIAN O'Connor chalked up Ireland's first top five place at the five-star show in Helsinki, Finland tonight (Saturday) ahead of Sunday's big Rolex World Cup class, the second in the new series.

LYNCH FIFTH IN OSLO WORLD CUP CLASS

IRELAND'S Denis Lynch, riding Thomas Straumann's bay gelding Lantinus, finished fifth in the first leg of the new Rolex World Cup season at Oslo in Norway this afternoon (Sunday), collecting 12,000 euro for his place.
