DUFFY WINS FRENCH GRAND PRIX, BUTLER AND BREEN IN TOP TEN

TWENTY year-old Alex Duffy triumphed in this afternoon's (Sunday) Grand Prix at the French show in Villeneuve-Loubet when he took the 6250 euro first prize on the Edenrock Investments-owned stallion 'Tampa'. The Mayo-born rider went clear in both rounds, with Swiss runner-up Philipp Zuger well over a second behind on time with 'Liatos II".

FLOODY WINS THIRD LEG OF HSI CHIPPISON SPRING TOUR

JOHN Floody recorded a decisive win in the HSI Chippison Grand Prix at Killossery Lodge Stud this afternoon (Sunday) when he produced the competition's only double clear with Jim Monks's 13 year-old grey gelding 'Ashbourne'.

IRELAND FINISH THIRD IN US NATIONS' CUP BATTLE

WITH the largest number of teams ever competing, the US Nations' Cup at Wellington, Florida last night saw Ireland punch its way up from fourth at the halfway stage to overall third when the competition finished in the early hours of Saturday morning. Last year's winners, Canada, held onto their early lead to claim victory.

TWO IRISH IN FRENCH GRAND PRIX QUALIFIER TOP TEN

TIPPERARY-born Shane Breen took third place today (Saturday) in the Grand Prix Qualifier at Villeneuve-Loubet in France, riding the Irish-bred Mullaghdrin Gold Rain to a double clear round.

LYNCH SECOND IN BREMEN OPENER

IRELAND'S Denis Lynch booked his place in Friday night's Championship class at Bremen, Germany when he finished second tonight (Thursday) in the show's opening class, the Championship Qualifier.

FIVE IRISH NOW IN TOP 40 OF ROLEX WORLD JUMPING RANKINGS

IRELAND now has five riders in the Top 40 of the world's show jumping rankings, according to the latest figures published today (Friday) by the sport's governing body, the FEI. Jessica Kurten is now the world's second-highest ranked female rider in 15th place, with Denis Lynch dropping two places to 19th since last month.

SPLAINE ANNOUNCES IRISH TEAM'S JUMPING ORDER FOR US NATIONS' CUP

TEAM Ireland Equestrian Jumping Manager Robert Splaine has announced the Irish team's order of go for tonight's US Nation's Cup clash in Wellington, Florida. O'CONNOR TAKES FIRST AND SECOND IN CAVAN AT HSI CHIPPISON GRAND PRIX

IT WAS Cian O'Connor's day at Cavan Equestrian Centre this afternoon (Sunday) when he took first and second place in the Grand Prix. Competing in this second leg of the HSI Chippison Spring Tour, the 30 year-old Meath-based rider took victory with the Danish-bred 'Complete'.

LENNON FIRST, KURTEN THIRD ON FIRST DAY GOTHENBURG

IT WAS Dermott Lennon who showed the way with a win for Ireland in the first competition on the opening day (Thursday) of Gothenburg's five star show in Sweden. But fellow Irish rider Jessica Kurten also featured in the following competition with a third place on Lady Georgina Forbes's French-bred 'Miribel d'Auvray'.
