Pony & Junior Dressage High Performance Assessment Days 1st & 2nd November 2017

High Performance Manager Anne Marie Dunphy will hold Pony and Junior Dressage High Performance assessment and training days at Spruce Lodge Equestrian Training Facility on Wednesday, 1st and Thursday, 2nd November 2017.
Pony Dressage High Performance Program:
Qualifying criteria for assessment for the Horse Sport Ireland HP Pony Dressage Program is based on the current level that an athlete is training and competing in the current year. For 2018, HP Pony Dressage will comprise of a High Performance Squad and a High Performance Development Squad.
High Performance Squad – Athletes who have achieved 65% plus nationally on at least two occasions in FEI Pony tests and are either competing at or aiming shortly for pony international level.
High Performance Development Squad – Athletes who have achieved 67% plus at novice/elementary level and are working towards FEI pony level with a view to progressing to international level.
Junior Dressage High Performance Program:
Qualifying criteria for assessment for the Horse Sport Ireland HP Junior Dressage Squad is based on the current level that an athlete is training and competing in the current year. For 2018, HP Junior Dressage will comprise of a High Performance Squad – Athletes who have achieved 65% plus nationally at advanced medium/junior level and are either competing at or aiming shortly for junior international level.
Former High Performance squad members with new horses/ponies which do not yet meet the criteria but who are training towards their relevant level may apply for assessment.
All squad athletes will receive subsidized coaching and mentoring from the High Performance manager and sports science professionals and will be monitored throughout the season. Athletes must be aware that they will be moved up, down or off the squad lists based on their results in 2018 and at the discretion of the High Performance Manager. To remain on the squad, athletes must show commitment to the HP program.
Athletes must be members of and ponies/horses registered with Dressage Ireland.

Parents/guardians are requested to bring a current measuring cert for their ponies and there will be a charge for this assessment/training days. The charge will be decided once final number of athletes are known. Stabling and hook up to be booked directly in advance with Spruce Lodge Equestrian Training Facility.
