CONSTITUTIONAL TASK FORCE PRESENTS FINDINGS AT FEI GENERAL ASSEMBLY

THE Constitutional Task Force, which was set up in April of this year to identify an optimal governance structure for the FEI, presented its findings and recommendations to the National Federations at the FEI General Assembly in Rio de Janeiro (BRA) today (Sunday) at a session moderated by Executive Board member Richard Nicholl (USA).

TWENTY-two year old Camilla Speirs produced a clear round in show jumping to finish second in today's (Sunday) Olympic eventing qualifying competition in Boekelo, the Netherlands, with her bay gelding Portersize Just A Jiff, the smallest of the 110 horses in the competition.

Irish Sport Horses enjoyed success on the international showjumping circuit over the weekend. At Spruce Meadows in Canada, Rich Fellers (USA) and the Cruising stallion, Flexible (ISH), took second place in the €145,000 Queen Elizabeth II Cup. At the same show, RIch Fellers (USA) and McGuinness (ISH) took top spot in one €22,500 class and were placed in a second.

TWENTY-three year-old Nicola FitzGibbon from Kildare was best of the Irish in this afternoon's (Sunday) rich Longines Grand Prix at Falsterbo in Sweden, taking fifth place with her 14 year-old Dutch-bred gelding 'Puissance', and collecting prize money of 14,000 euro.
