TIPPERARY-born Denis Lynch picked up prize money of 8,000 euro in the Mercedes German Masters competition at Stuttgart tonight (Friday), when taking a fourth place with Thomas Straumann's bay gelding 'Abbervail van het Dingeshof'.
With just twelve combinations qualifying for the class, 34 year-old German-based Lynch was the only Irish entrant tonight and one of just seven through to the jump-off.
Though jumping clear second time out, Lynch was unable to match the finishing time of Germany's Meredith-Michaels-Beerbaum and the scopey Hanoverian gelding 'Shutterfly', who claimed the first prize of a Mercedes GLK 350 car.
Stuttgart's five-star Rolex FEI World Cup competition takes place on Sunday afternoon. Lynch is joined at the German venue by Jessica Kurten and Billy Twomey.
