IRELAND's Shane Breen won today's (Sunday) Grand Prix at Comporta, Portugal, riding Ronan Tynan's Irish-bred stallion 'Warrenstown You 2', and saw his younger brother Trevor take fifth place.
The Tipperary pair were among nine combinations who made it to the jump-off in a 30-strong field, and although Trevor posted one of the fastest times in the final round with Karen Swann's 'Adventure de Kannan', a fence down kept him out of the winner's enclosure.
That honour went instead to 36 year-old Shane, who saw off a strong Portuguese challenge from Antonio Vozone and Ivan Camargo to collect the first prize of 4,600 euro with well over two seconds in hand.
