TWENTY year-old Alex Duffy took the winner's laurels at this afternoon's (Sunday) accumulator competition at Villeneuve de Loubet, France, but failed to repeat his Grand Prix victory of last week.
The Mayo rider piloted his mother Sandra's 'Courtown' today and shaved a third of a a second off the time of French star Julien Epaillard to take the 1,250 euro first prize.
However in this afternoon's three star Grand Prix, Duffy had to settle for 15th place on last weeks' winner 'Tampa', collecting four faults in the first round and eight in the second and conceding victory to the Netherlands' Vincent Voorn and 'Audi's Cierania Z'.
Earlier today at Viileneuve, Ireland's Shane Breen recorded a third place in the Winning Round competition with 'Bluebai'.
