MARION Hughes took a third place for Ireland in the Portuguese Grand Prix at Comporta this evening (Sunday), riding Miguel Bravo's Irish-bred Cavalier Royale mare 'HHS Cashmere', with France's Penelope Leprevost the sole zero score in the first round, taking the trophy without a jump-off.Kilkenny-born Hughes was the fastest four-faulter of the class, but three other Irish riders also claimed top ten places on the same penalties. David Simpson was fifth with the Cruising mare 'Cruise With Me', while Shane Breen finished in seventh on Ronan Tynan's Irish-bred stallion 'Warrenstown You 2'.Breen's younger brother Trevor had an eighth place on 'Adventure de Kanaan'.
