LIMERICK'S Joan Greene claimed the runner-up spot at Ypaja's Grand Prix in Finland this evening (Friday) with Tim O'Shea's chestnut mare 'Biscaya d'Eversem'.
Greene, who took an identical place with the mare at Balmoral's Grand Prix in Belfast last month, was one of 12 through to the jump-off, but one of just three to register a double clear round from a starting field of 32.
The Grand Prix trophy went to Belgium's Phillipe Le Jeune and 'Leo Du Prairial'.
Yesterday Alexander Butler claimed victory for Ireland in the jump-off class with John Higgins's Irish-bred 'Keeford Topcat', while Tholm Keane and another Irish horse, Ronan Tynan's 'Warrenstown You 2', took third place.
Ireland will be one of nine countries represented at the Finland Nations' Cup, which takes place at the three star show on Sunday.
