COMDT John Ledingham, Horse Sport Ireland High Performance Coach for Children on Horses (U14), Juniors (U18) and young riders (U21), has named the initial High Performance squads in these age groups.

Speaking after the announcement Comdt. Ledingham said that there had been an increased interest in being on the squads this year.

“We have had a number of training sessions and we used four rounds of the HSI Chippison Spring Tour to view the combinations. This is an initial squad,” he said.

The squad's next outing will be at the British trials at Wales and West at the end of April, where the Irish riders will have three opportunities to qualify for the European championships.

The Championships for these squads take place in Jardy in France from July 13th to 18th.
