IRELAND’S Max O’Reilly Hyland was the winner of the Pony Grand Prix at Wierden in the Netherlands on Saturday, riding ‘Rock Dee Jay’, and seeing off Dutch challenger Megan Laseur by a comfortable two seconds.Ireland also had a fourth place in the Grand Prix with Emma O’Dwyer and the Irish-bred ‘Jacknell Street’, with Betram Allen and ‘Cassandra van het Roelhof claiming seventh, and Tim McDonagh slotting the Irish-bred ‘Imagine If One’ into ninth.O’Reilly Hyland and O’Dwyer were also members of the Irish Nations’ Cup team who took first place in the Netherlands Pony Nations’ Cup on Thursday. Other members of the victorious team were Bertram Allen with ‘Acapella Z’, and Tom Foley on ‘Crown Jewel’.
