IN AN unusual result for a major international class, Ireland's Jessica Kurten managed to claim both fourth and fifth places in tonight's (Friday) speed competition at La Coruna's five-star show in Spain.
Riding Lady Georgina Forbes's chestnut mare 'Castle Forbes Cosma', Antrim-born Kurten established a fourth place in the 1m45 class, but then bettered her own time when eighth last to go on Wiebe van de Lageweg's stallion 'VDL Harley', relegating her previous position on the leaderboard to fifth overall and ending up with consecutive placings.
The competition was won by Vincent Voorn from the Netherlands on 'Audi's Reflection'.
La Coruna's Grand Prix takes place on Saturday afternoon.
