(12 Nov 2010)

COUNTY Down-based Dermott Lennon clinched a fourth place in the World Cup Qualifier on Wednesday night at the Royal Winter Fair show at Toronto, Canada, riding Woods Rosbotham's gelding 'Hallmark Elite'.

The competition, which netted American winner Brianne Goutal 30,000 dollars for her victory, also gave Lennon 9,000 dollars, as well as valuable World Cup ranking points.

Forty one year-old Lennon was also in the money on Tuesday, taking 4,400 dollars for a second place in the Two Phase competition aboard Allan Davidson's mare 'Tolett', and he secured a further 750 dollars on Wednesday afternoon for a sixth place in the Speed class, also on 'Tolett'.
