DENIS Lynch was best of the Irish in tonight's (Saturday) five-star jump off class in Basel, Switzerland, with a sixth place on Thomas Straumann's gelding 'All Inclusive NRW'.
The horse, bought for Lynch two years ago, was one of just seven to go clear in the first round of the competition from a starting field of 47, but the Tipperary rider incurred four faults second time out and picked up 1500 euro for his place.
Winner of the competition was France's Simon Delestre with 'Little Lady', who was one of four to return a zero score, and who collected 12,000 euro after shading British runner-up Michael Whitaker and 'Little Lady' by less than half a second.
