CIAN O'Connor and his new ride, the bay mare 'K Club Lady', took an eighth place in this afternoon's (Sunday) Grand Prix at Hagen in Germany.
One of just six clears in the first round from a starting field of 40, the Meath-based rider made a single mistake in the second round to finish behind German winner Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and 'Checkmate', who completed the class on a zero penalty score.
Afterwards O'Connor, who had also taken a fourth in Friday's speed class with 'Complete', said: "I'm very happy with the new mare. She's had two starts in international Grands Prix with me so far, and she's been placed in both."
